Chloe is part of our team as the Policy and Advocacy Intern at ENORB, helping to monitor incidences of hate crime and discrimination on the basis of religion and belief, and working to support the implementation of ENORB’s new project - ‘Steps to Togetherness EUROPE’. She recently graduated from the University of Manchester with a Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Religion and Social Anthropology.
Throughout her time at university, Chloe interned as a programmes administration assistant with Action for Humanity (AFH), an international NGO working to support crisis-affected people in the MENA region, through the implementation of recovery and development projects. Her bachelor’s thesis, which focused on the work of contemporary Islamic non-profit organisations, also included primary research conducted into the work of AFH. Alongside this she also volunteered with a number of organisations working to support people in the Greater Manchester area. This included taking on a role as a project leader for a society working to provide free English classes to refugees and asylum seekers. Her responsibilities included volunteer coordination, planning and leading weekly English classes for young people, and organising the society’s first fundraising event. She also volunteered for a society working to prepare and distribute nutritional meals to women living in temporary housing.
